The masses have spoken: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by F. Scott Fitzgerald will be February's quick pick. As it is a short book and a short month, let's look to finish this one by the end of the month and have a new one ready to go for March.I found a limited preview for BB from Google Books. In the introduction, Fitzgerald explains that the idea for BB came from Mark Twain: "This story was inspired by a remark of Mark Twain's that it was a pity that the best part of life came at the beginning and the worst part at the end." We'll have to come back to that idea after reading the story - is it truly better to age into infancy? To have knowledge of 80 years but to have the body of a baby? Is that any different than having the body of an 80-year-old when you're 80? I guess we'll find out.

I love that you picked The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for don't talk about book club because I have seen movie posters for it everywhere and I am seriously intrigued! This gives me a reason (not that I ever need reason to buy books) to buy and read it! I'll post a proper book club post as soon as possible... ("February")
